Reseller hosting offers a number of benefits. If you are a web developer, you can host all of your own websites under one reseller account. You can sell web hosting services to your own client base. You can give web hosting accounts away to friends and family. A reseller account works in several different scenarios. With reseller hosting, you really can operate a web hosting business without investing in expensive infrastructure, servers, bandwidth, and IT staff. It's a great way to make a profit with relatively little risk or financial outlay!
As a reseller, you will be your clients' first point of contact and will provide support for them. Make sure you are comfortable with this arrangement. (See question 7 for more on your responsibilities as a reseller.)
Your clients will have access to a cPanel user control panel of their own, through which they can create and maintain their own websites and email.
HostPapa provides all resellers with an excellent startup guide, which will walk you through the steps involved in setting up your account. And our PapaSquad support team is here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- The Reseller's Web Host Manager (WHM) allows you to create and manage your client accounts;
- Your clients' cPanel allows them to easily create and/or manage their websites and email.
Through WHM, it is quite simple to manage and create various subaccounts. You'll be able to:
- Set up cPanel for each of your clients
- Limit a client's NVMe storage and/or bandwidth
- Email all your reseller clients
- Change users' passwords
- Check server statuses
- Access your billing software
- Use a domain sub-reseller account
Your clients will be responsible for setting up their websites and email, and for managing their own accounts, which they may do through their cPanel control panel. cPanel will let them create and manage their websites and email accounts without your assistance.
Of course, HostPapa support is available 24/7 to support you, the reseller. You may contact us at any time for high-level technical or server issues. HostPapa is responsible for providing you with NVMe storage, bandwidth, and features you need to resell, and we are always happy to help you with issues related to these items.
We will bill you automatically according to the terms and billing cycle you chose when you signed up. (For example, if you selected a monthly payment option, we will bill you monthly, starting on the date you signed up.)
