What is a new gTLD?

A gTLD refers to common TLDs that are used in web addresses such as .com or .org. Recently a list of over 1,000 TLDs have become available for website owners, known as new gTLDs.

New gTLDs allow more customization for web addresses in a world where TLDs like .com have become hard to get. Some examples of new gTLDs include:

  • .online
  • .clothing
  • .football
  • .vacations
  • .toys

and so on…
