Customer Success Story
Fireseed
Louise Ingram creates one-of-a-kind glass beads using a technique called lampworking. She says she never believed the craft would become such a passion, a passion she is pleased to share on her HostPapa-hosted website.
"We choose HostPapa because we had heard good things about you, and also liked the fact that you had a Canadian base and that you offered green hosting," she says.
Her site wasn't new when she moved to HostPapa, but she was looking for some serious improvements. HostPapa helped manage the move, streamlining and simplifying the process.
"We'd been with a company down in the States for a few years," Ingram says. "As they had grown, they transferred their support section to another company and service went downhill.
"I wanted to move my WordPress blog, which is also my website from our old hosting company, over to HostPapa. This turned out to be more complicated than I thought, but with the help of HostPapa we got the job done!"
Ingram avails of WordPress, a tool provided by HostPapa, to maintain her blog.
"I used the automatic install and was thrilled with how easy that was. Then I had to import all the data from my original blog/site. It took some tweaking but I have it running how I want now."
And finally, Ingram likes HostPapa for its option of multiple domains.
"This was one issue we had with our previous company, we were limited unless we upgraded to a reseller account which cost a lot more. I am now able to have my company name plus my own name as domains, and both lead right to my WordPress site."
Eventually, Ingram plans to expand her website and sell her work directly from it.
